Back at it! Kate Middleton is set to make her first appearance for a royal engagement after the birth of her daughter, Charlotte.
The Duchess of Cambridge, 33, has stayed out of the public eye in the weeks since the young Princess Charlotte was born on May 2. Middleton will return to her royal duties this weekend, however, as she is booked to attend the 2015 Queen's Birthday Parade, also known as Trooping the Colour, on Saturday, June 13.
Kensington Palace confirmed that the mother of two will participate in the festive affair in London, and will ride in the processional. The annual parade has been a tradition in the UK since 1820. It is held in the warmer months despite of the fact that Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her 89th birthday nearly two months ago on April 21.
The Duchess will be joined at the fête by her husband, Prince William. The Duke, 32, will ride a horse in the parade alongside Prince Charles and Princess Anne. The processional is led by Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip in the first carriage, followed by Middleton's barouche, which will also carry Duchess of Cornwall Camilla and Prince Harry.
A second barouche in the parade will feature Prince Andrew with his daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. Finally, Prince Edward, Prince Richard, and Duchess Birgitte will ride in the Balmoral Landau vehicle.
Prince George's mom will return to London for the family event after spending recent weeks at Anmer Hall in Norfolk with her new baby girl, her 22-month-old son, and her husband of four years.
While spending time in the country, the Duchess took the first official photos of her two children together. She shot four gorgeous pictures of Prince George cradling his little sister, which were released by Kensington Palace on June 6.
