On Tuesday, Nov. 17, Charlie Sheen confirmed on the Today show that he is, in fact, HIV-positive. But several people who are very important to the 50-year-old actor were kept out of the loop about his big announcement.

A source confirms to Us Weekly that Sheen did not tell four of his five children about his diagnosis. He didnt tell the kids because they are so young and wouldnt understand, the source tells Us.
Sheens eldest daughter, Cassandra, 30, was informed in advance, but he opted not to tell his daughters Sam, 11, and Lola, 10, whom he shares with ex-wife Denise Richards, and his 6-year-old twins, Bob and Max, whom he shares with ex-wife Brooke Mueller.
Another source tells Us, This really does not pertain to Brookes kids. They are 6 years old. Bob and Max arent exposed to any of the media coverage about this and dont even know what HIV is.

During his Today show interview, Sheen claimed that hed been extorted out of millions of dollars from people threatening to reveal that hes HIV-positive.
What people forget is that thats money theyre taking from my children, he told Matt Lauer. They think its just me, but Ive got five kids and a granddaughter.
