Back at it! Kanye West made his grand return to the Grammys stage on Sunday, Feb. 8.
Following a six-year hiatus, the rapper, 37, hit Los Angeles' Staples Center for the 57th Annual Grammy Awards. After walking the red carpet with his wife Kim Kardashian, West took the stage for a highly anticipated performance.
The "Bound 2" performer last appeared at the Grammys in 2009. He has been absent in the years since while remaining vocal about his distaste for the awards show.
Despite his previous words, West seemed to be in good spirits at Sunday's show. He first faced the star-studded crowd to perform his emotional new single "Only One."
The song, which is about the rapper's late mother Donda West and his 19-month-old daughter North West, was presented with a simple performance. West swayed to the music as he sang and rapped in a lone spotlight on an otherwise pitch-black stage.
West is nominated for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Rap Song for "Bound 2" with Charlie Wilson at the 2015 Grammys. The previous Album of the Year nominee also performed his new collaboration with Rihanna and Paul McCartney, "FourFiveSeconds."
The trio took hit the stage in coordinated black suits. As McCartney strummed on the guitar, West and Rih crooned, "Now I'm four, five seconds from wildin' / And we got three more days 'til Friday / I'm just tryna make it back home by Monday mornin' / I swear I wish somebody would tell me / Ooh, that's all I want."
