Manson, 81, orchestrated the August 1969 murder of Tate at the late actress Beverly Hills home. 26-year-old Tate who was eight and a half months pregnant at the time was stabbed to death by members of Mansons cult. He is currently serving nine concurrent life sentences in prison.
Fans of the Mean Girls actress were not too pleased with the timing of her post, as one commenter wrote, This is so disrespectful on so many levels.
The drama-prone star has been off probation for the first time in seven years since 2008.
Lohans younger brother Michael Lohan Jr. was arrested last month for allegedly using a fake parking placard, and her father, Michael Lohan Sr., has been convicted of criminal contempt of court, and has also been arrested for DUI and domestic violence. Lohans mother, Dina, has also been arrested for driving under the influence.
