Well, that was awkward! Kate Winslet revealed in a recent interview that her steamy sex scenes with Hollywood heartthrob Liam Hemsworth in new film The Dressmaker had one teen in particular up in arms: her 15-year-old daughter, Mia.
When I told my daughter that I was shooting the scene that day she spluttered I took it to be jealousy, the 40-year-old actress told BBCs The One Show on Wednesday, Nov. 11. But I did feel quite bad for Liam. Hes a sweet guy but I couldnt stop giggling.
In the upcoming film, set in the 1950s, Hemsworth, 25, plays Winslets love interest, and the pair get hot and heavy in several scenes.
On Thursday, Nov. 12, the Oscar-winning actress continued talk about her daughters crush on Hemsworth.
Its only because of her that I know the name of the character that Liam plays in The Hunger Games I wouldnt have a clue otherwise! she said on This Morning. And its rather alarming that she is actually closer in age to Liam than I am she only pointed that out to me the other day, and I was like, Oh shhh!
But despite the potential for awkwardness, Winslet only had the best things to say about her costar.
Liam is a lovely, lovely guy, much is made of how he looks and hes physically extremely beautiful but hes a fabulous chap and was really up for mucking in with the rest of us, she continued. But my daughter, Mia, was extremely jealous, along with all of her friends.
