Justin Bieber canceled both his appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and his performance for the Thanksgiving Day Parade on Tuesday, Nov. 24, citing personal reasons.
My apologies to @colbertlateshow as I wont be able to make it to nyc tomorrow for the show, the 21-year-old pop star tweeted Tuesday shortly after midnight. I look forward to making it up to you soon.
The Sorry singer followed up with another tweet, this time directly apologizing to Stephen, 51.
@StephenAtHome thank you for the understanding as sometimes life kicks our ass and we need to deal with it, he wrote. I will see you soon. Thank you.
The superstar also backed out of taping a performance for the CBS Thanksgiving Day Parade, according to TMZ, citing personal issues.
Bieber's biggest scandalsEarlier this month, Bieber opened up to Us Weekly in an exclusive interview, in which he discussed his busy schedule.
"I've just been traveling a lot, working a lot," he told Us. "I've been really good.
The pop star who dropped his highly successful fourth studio album, Purpose, earlier this month gave a well-received performance at the 2015 American Music Awards on Sunday, Nov. 22, closing the show with a medley of his three hits Sorry, What Do You Mean?, and Where Are U Now, complete with being drenched in water. Purpose which debuted at No. 1 with an impressive 650,000 copies sold also smashed a record previously held by The Beatles, for having the most titles that any artist has placed on the chart in a single week, according to Billboard.
Last week, Bieber was spotted out with ex Selena Gomez in Beverly Hills on Friday, Nov. 20. He later went clubbing at The Nice Guy in West Hollywood with Kylie Jenner.
