Charlie Sheen feels like a weight has been lifted following his HIV-positive reveal on the Today show. The Anger Management actor spoke to Dr. Mehmet Oz after the revelation on Tuesday, Nov. 17.
"I spoke to Charlie this morning and he was very cleansed from conversations he had this morning," the TV doctor told Entertainment Tonight. "He was under a lot of stress. He's been in such a dark place, and depressed. He let the truth ring today. Much more centered in his thoughts."
Charlie's Craziest Controversies
As previously reported, Sheen, 50 joined by Dr. Robert Huizenga told Matt Lauer that he tested positive for the virus four years ago. Huizenga said that the Two and a Half Men alum does not have AIDS and is "healthy."
In the wake of his interview, some of his ex-girlfriends have come forward to share their feelings about the news, with Amanda Bruce even appearing alongside Dr. Huizenga on the Dr. Oz Show.
Bruce, a nurse, told Dr. Oz that she had unprotected sex with the actor even after she found out about his HIV-positive status. She consulted with Huizenga, who cautioned her against it, but said the risk of transmission was low.

"I was the doctor for her boyfriend, we called in other doctors and they felt the risk of transmission if she took the prophylaxis and he had undetectable level was miniscule. We cant say its zero," Huizenga said. "And so basically I think my advice to her was, Dont do it, but the risk is miniscule. And she elected to then go forward because she felt so close and wanted that level of intimacy."
Celebrity Health Scares
Bruce chimed in: "I mean, if I had met him on one night, and we had decided to engage in this, I'd say, 'That's Russian Roulette. The reality is, we had known each other for many months before we engaged in [sex], and we were a couple, I was in love with him." (Exes Mia Isabella and Ginger Lynn also spoke out and are in his corner.)
Other past flames aren't as happy with Sheen. Former adult film star Bree Olson told Howard Stern that the actor never told her of his HIV status when they dated in 2011. "I couldn't be more angry. I've been shaking, I've been crying," she said on Tuesday. (Sheen's rep told Us that the exes weren't together when he was HIV-positive.) Porn actress Tabitha Stevens, meanwhile, tweeted that she is "quite disgusted" with the star.
